Sectors & Services

Aquaculture

Newbuilding • Sale & Purchase • Chartering • Valuations

MIL has for many years been an active broker in the aquaculture segment, including live fish carriers, stun & bleed vessels, fish feed carriers, service vessels and innovative fish farms. Our brokerage services within the aquaculture industry cover newbuilding, S&P, chartering and valuations.

OSV / Renewables

Newbuilding • Sale & Purchase • Chartering

Over the years, MIL has played a key role in a wide range of offshore energy projects – spanning both oil & gas and renewable energy. We have successfully facilitated newbuilding and charter party contracts for a wide variety of advanced vessels, including subsea IMR and construction support vessels, cable-lay vessels, (C)SOVs, PSVs and AHTS units. As the industry evolves, we remain at the forefront of emerging segments – actively exploring innovative concepts and solutions, with both a technical and commercial approach, to create meaningful value for our clients’ projects and long-term developments.

Special Projects

Newbuilding • Sale & Purchase • Transportation • Hull building

In addition to classic shipbuilding and chartering, MIL has a strong track record in the brokerage and consulting of special projects. These include complex construction/logistics undertakings such as the world’s largest salmon farm, outsourcing of hull construction, as well as resale shipyards and more. We are always interested in discussing new ideas and opportunities where our multi-disciplined team can assist in your business development.

Passenger & Cruise

Newbuilding • Sale & Purchase

MIL has always been involved in complex brokerage services, and our newbuilding expertise for tailor-made vessels has made cruise and ferry a natural market segment for us. We have assisted several owners with their fleet expansion over the years, including Havila Kystruten, Fjord1 and Norled.

Fishing Vessels

Newbuilding • Sale & Purchase

Our core service in this segment is newbuilding. With an industry-leading track record, we guide our clients through the tender process, and our expertise ensures they choose the right shipyard.

We support clients throughout the entire newbuilding process – from early-stage planning and design selection to yard negotiations and contracting. The goal is to ensure the vessel is properly specified, commercially viable and fit for purpose.

We assist with the acquisition and sale of existing vessels – including valuation, inspection, negotiations and contract execution. Discretion, transparency and secure delivery are key.

We arrange short- and long-term chartering across a wide range of vessel types, helping to match the right ship with the right operation – or secure employment for vessels in your fleet.

We provide independent vessel valuations based on market insight, vessel specifications, age and recent comparable transactions – supporting decision-making, financing or regulatory needs.

We assist clients in sourcing and supervising hull construction – typically in cost-effective shipbuilding markets – as part of a split-building or staged delivery strategy.

We arrange safe and efficient transportation of completed hulls or specialised units between shipyards or regions, coordinating technical requirements, towage and logistics end-to-end.
